알리 타브리지는 H.eco Forum 2023에서 해양 보존의 세계를 심도 있게 다룰 예정이다. 우리 인류의 행동과 신념이 바다로 뒤덮인 푸른 지구와 이 지구를 터전으로 삼고 있는 수 조(兆)마리의 해양 생물들의 생존에 미치는 상호 연관성을 연구하기 위해 전 세계를 항해한 ‘증인’으로서 그는 우리를 이 여정에 초대한다. 넷플릭스 다큐멘터리 ‘씨스피라시’가 세계적으로 미친 파급력을 소개함과 동시에 경찰에게 쫓기고, 야생동물 밀렵꾼들과 대치하고, 고래를 비롯한 많은 해양 생물들의 살육을 목격하는 등 화려하지만은 않았던 다큐멘터리 제작기를 이야기한다. 또한 알리 타브리지는 충격적인 사실과 놀라운 숫자들을 공유하고, 우리의 바다가 직면한 위협을 재확인 한다. 이러한 문제들은 믿기 어려울 만큼 많이 존재하고 복잡하지만, 그 해결책을 찾는 방법은 오히려 간단하고 쉽다. 바다를 복원하고, 해양 생물을 되살리고, 지구상의 모든 생명을 위해 더 아름답고 윤리적인 미래를 만들고자 하는 정부, NGO, 모든 대중들의 지지와 연대가 바로 그것이다.

In this speech, Ali Tabrizi dives deep into the world of ocean conservation, taking us along as witnesses to the journey he has made around the world to understand the cause and effects that our actions and beliefs are having on this blue planet, and the trillions of marine animals who call it home. Starting the talk by sharing some of the global impact stories of his film Seaspiracy, we are quickly drawn into the less glamorous side of making the movie; being followed by police, confronting wildlife traders,and witnessing the slaughter of countless whales and other marine creatures. Weaved into these anecdotes and stories, Ali shares the hard hitting facts, the mind blowing numbers, and offers a reality check to the situation we are facing at sea. These problems however, despite being incredibly numerous and complex, find solutions in simple and easy to digest steps which everyone from government, NGO’s, and members of the public can get behind in order to restore the seas, rebound marine life, and create a more beautiful and ethical future for all life on earth.
